The family activity worker plans, organizes, implements, and evaluates recreational, social, and educational activities tailored to meet the needs of shelter clients, while encouraging their participation and providing guidance. Key duties also involve providing skill-Building in areas like life and social skills, ensuring client safety, responding to emergencies, and organizing age-Appropriate activities for children.
Candidates must possess a certificate in child and youth care, early childhood education, or recreation, along with six months of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and training. Mandatory requirements include union membership, satisfactory criminal records search completion, and a standard first aid certificate.
