The paraprofessional supports the teacher with classroom activities, promotes positive student behaviors in academics and extracurriculars, and provides oversight to ensure student safety and a positive school climate. Duties include supporting lessons, assisting with planning, performing clerical tasks like grading, and helping maintain school areas.
Candidates must possess an associate degree, two years of college coursework, or pass the para professional’s exam, along with proficiency in ms office and successful completion of a bci/Fbi check. Required abilities include working well under pressure, effective prioritization, managing confidential information, and possessing high-Quality communication skills, with physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs.
