Overnight Camp Counsellor - Camp Otonabee (Seasonal)

The overnight camp counsellor reports to the camp coordinator and is responsible for implementing and facilitating quality recreational programs and services for children and youth aged 4 to 16 at camp otonabee. This involves supervising participants during outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and wellbeing, and helping them build self-Confidence and friendships.

Applicants must be at least 17 years old by june 2026 and possess a current standard first aid and cpr "c" certification, along with a valid permit to work in canada and a recent police record check. Desired qualifications include relevant certifications like national lifeguard, bronze cross, or paddle canada, and strong interpersonal skills are necessary for rapport building and maintaining a calm demeanor.
