The counsellor will regularly travel to first nations communities to deliver counselling, support, intervention, crisis management, group work, and case management services as required. Key duties include developing treatment plans, assessing and managing risk factors, delivering therapeutic interventions, and coordinating care with community resources.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's or master's degree in counselling psychology or a related field, along with registration with a recognized professional counselling college. A minimum of two years' clinical experience working with children/Families, knowledge of developmental disabilities and mental health services, and understanding of first nations cultural context are mandatory.
