The occupational therapist is responsible for developing programs that allow individuals to fully participate in their daily activities, serving a client base including children with autism spectrum disorder and individuals of all other ages and needs. Key duties involve assessing client needs, developing and implementing treatment plans, consulting on applied behaviour analysis programs, and maintaining knowledge of current evidence-Based practices.
Successful candidates must have at least one year of experience working with children with asd and hold a master’s degree in occupational therapy, along with familiarity with various assessment tools. Applicants must also be a member of or eligible for caot, possess strong communication skills, have a driver's license and vehicle, and be legally authorized to work in canada.
