Core responsibilities

Provide academic leadership for skilled trades, apprenticeship, and technology programs.
Oversee curriculum development, renewal, delivery, and evaluation.
Support learner success and academic progression.
Contribute to strategic and operational planning.
Manage resources within budgets.
Maintain industry relationships and ensure program responsiveness.
Support provincial apprenticeship requirements.
Promote work-Integrated learning and industry partnerships.
Lead and support faculty in high-Quality instruction.
Encourage educational technology and innovative delivery.
Promote applied research and industry-Driven projects.
Supervise faculty, coordinators, technicians, and staff.
Recruit, develop, and evaluate employees.
Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Ensure effective communication within the school and with external partners

Requirements summary

Journeyperson credential in skilled trades or related degree in educational leadership, engineering technology, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years teaching experience in post-Secondary environment.
5 years of progressive leadership experience.
Experience in curriculum development, program quality assurance, industry engagement.
Strong understanding of apprenticeship systems and workforce-Aligned education.
Proven ability to work collaboratively, lead change, and support innovation.
Strong emotional intelligence, communication, problem-Solving, and decision-Making skills.
