Academic Advisor

The academic advisor supports students at risk of academic failure by maintaining a caseload, conducting one-On-One advising, and developing individualized course recovery plans incorporating strategies like tutoring and time management. This role also involves tracking student progress, collaborating with faculty, advocating for student needs, and ensuring culturally responsive support grounded in indigenous values.

Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as education, counseling, or social work, along with a minimum of two years of experience in academic advising or student support. Required qualifications include strong interpersonal skills, experience with case management and academic recovery planning, and proficiency in microsoft excel for data analysis.
