The recreation worker plans, develops, and runs a variety of meaningful recreation and leisure pursuits that promote well-Being and a sense of community. They facilitate opportunities to support the maintenance and development of resident skills and relationships.
Candidates should have prior experience working with seniors, preferably in a long-Term care setting, and a relevant post-Secondary education. Alternatively, they can be enrolled in a related program with the intent to complete it within three years of being hired.
