<p> <img></img> <span></span><img></img></p> <p><span>We are looking for an </span><span>On-Call Elementary Teacher </span><span>to support students at the Okanagan Indian Band Cultural Immersion School, </span><span>nkmaplqs</span><span> </span><span>i</span><span> </span><span>snmamayatn</span><span> kl </span><span>sqilxwtet</span><span>.</span><span> </span></p> <p><strong>WHAT WE OFFER</strong></p> <p><span>The OKIB offers a welcoming team environment and a rewarding job experience as you join us in providing services to the Okanagan Indian Band. </span></p> <p><span><strong>SUPPORTS NEEDED</strong><strong><strong> </strong></strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Perform the regular duties of the Classroom Teacher who you are filling in for</span></li> <li><span>Follow established yearly overviews, unit plans, and day plans</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Support the student-centered learning program in place which enhances the explicit programs our school delivers</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Integrate students with disabilities and challenges in a positive and respectful manner</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Supervision duties to includeclassroom supervision, field trips, & recess/lunch supervision</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Implement positive discipline when required in accordance with the School Handbook, which includes Conflict Resolution and Restorative Justice</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Ensure children have a safe and secure learning environment</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Attend Language and Culture classes daily with students to ensure classroom management and to learn language alongside with students. This includes local outings which may include hiking</span></li> <li><span></span><span>In case of extended teacher absence, collaborate to complete student report cards and interim reports using school-wide format</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Classroom supervision and management and supervise field trips and other supervision duties as required</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Ensure children have a safe and secure environment<br></br> </span><span>Perform other duties as required</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>QUALIFICATIONS</strong></span></p> <p><span><strong>Education</strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span><strong></strong></span><span>Bachelor of Education, or equivalent</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Valid BC teaching certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch or in the process of obtaining</span></li> <li><span></span><span>Current First Aid/CPR certificate or willing to obtain</span></li> </ul> <p><strong><em><span>Preference may be given to those having knowledge of the Okanagan culture and traditions</span></em></strong></p> <p><span></span></p>
