<p> <img></img> <span></span><img></img></p> <p><span>We are looking to for an </span><span>On-Call Early Childhood Educators</span><span>to support children at our Daycare</span><span>.</span><span> </span></p> <p><span>The On Call Early Childhood Educator is to provide a solid and safe foundation for the children which fosters their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, creative and very necessary cultural development as an individual and as a member of a group. Child Care Licensing Regulations<br></br> •<span> </span>Provide interaction with the children as a group and as required on an individual basis</span><strong><strong><br></br> <br></br> Health and Safety<br></br> </strong></strong><span>•<span> </span></span><span>Observe for signs of ill health upon arrival and throughout the day<br></br> •<span> </span>Monitor and record signs and symptoms of ill health and inform the Room Supervisor<br></br> •<span> </span>Implement the scheduled housekeeping duties<br></br> •<span> </span>Ensure hazardous materials and products are stored and locked in a safe place<br></br> •<span> </span>Teach health and nutrition, rest habits and personal hygiene<br></br> •<span> </span>Maintain hygiene practices<br></br> •<span> </span>Follow the policy for administration of medication<br></br> •<span> </span>Administer basic First Aid as required<br></br> •<span> </span>Maintain constant supervision of indoor and outdoor play</span><strong><strong><br></br> <br></br> Parent Liaison<br></br> </strong></strong><span>•<span> </span></span><span>Maintain a positive liaison with parents<br></br> •<span> </span>Encourage open communication with parents concerning the needs and progress of their child<br></br> •<span> </span>Respond to questions concerning policies<br></br> •<span> </span>Contribute to the monthly parent newsletter<br></br> •<span> </span>Participate in the planning and implementing of special events, workshops and meetings for parents<br></br> •<span> </span>Act as a resource person</span><strong><strong><br></br> <br></br> Additional<br></br> </strong></strong><span>•<span> </span></span><span>All persons employed by the Okanagan Indian Band may be required to assist the Band in providing emergency services.
