<p> We are seeking a qualified and passionate Early Childhood Educator (ECE) to join our Nutsumaat Lelum Child Care Centre team, working inclusively and respectfully with our children. </p> <p>OurEarly Childhood Educators uphold a beautiful, warm environment where our children feel safe and nurtured. </p> <p>You will create daily opportunities for children to experience the world around them through artistic activities, oral storytelling, drumming and singing, movement and following the seasonal rhythms of nature. </p> <p>Duties include: </p> <ul> <li>Learn hul’q’umi’num’ language and participate in daily cultural practices & protocol with the children.</li> <li>Assist with the planning and implementation of daily activities, experiences and routines for our children ages 0 – 5 years.</li> <li>Participate in daily duties including supervision of clean-up, toileting, lunchtime, outdoor play and naptime.</li> <li>Keep records of relevant information about the child’s day including anecdotal notes and observations. </li> <li>Communicate with families daily to discuss their child’s day and their progress. </li> <li>Participate in staff meetings and Stz'uminus Education Society events</li> <li>Attend professional development activities such as courses, seminars or workshops</li> </ul>
