Job description

  • <p>The Burnaby School District is seeking an <strong>Education Assistant</strong> to work at the <strong>BC School for the Deaf (BCSD).</strong></p> <p>Education Assistants are responsible for providing support in the classroom, around the school, and within the community. Specifically, assistance is provided in the following:</p> <p>
  • Behaviour management</p> <p>
  • Curriculum implementation</p> <p>
  • Social skills development</p> <p>
  • Personal care</p> <p>
  • Physical assistance</p> <p>To be considered, candidates must have the following:</p> <p><strong>Required Qualifications:</strong></p> <p>
  • Successful completion of a recognized program in special needs assistance;</p> <p>
  • One (1) year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of training and/or</p> <p>experience.</p> <p>
