Core responsibilities
The forensic psychologist provides assessment and treatment for patients found not criminally responsible and unfit to stand trial. They also conduct violence risk assessments and provide consultation to the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology and be registered or eligible for registration as a psychologist with forensic competency. Experience in clinical forensic psychology and evidence-Based treatments for severe mental illness is also required.
