• DATE:</strong> July 3, 2026<br></br><strong>COMPETITION #:</strong> 2026-38</p><p><strong>Teacher Librarian</strong><br></br>Part-time (0.6 FTE), Term Position<br></br>École Pauline Johnson Elementary School<br></br>Effective September 8, 2026 until June 30th, 2027</p><p><i>The annual salary for a full-time teaching position ranges from $63,347 to $116,190, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement. The salary will be prorated based on FTE.</i></p><p><br></br>This position is responsible for providing teacher-librarian services at École Pauline Johnson Elementary School, a French Immersion school, supporting students and staff through inclusive, innovative, and engaging library programming. </p><p><strong><u>Required Qualifications and Experience</u></strong></p><ul><li>valid BC Ministry of Education teaching certificate</li><li>teacher-librarian qualifications or coursework in library science</li><li>demonstrated experience in an elementary school setting</li><li>strong understanding of the BC Curriculum and core competencies</li><li>ability to support inquiry-based and project-based learning</li><li>experience promoting literacy development and a love of reading</li><li>ability to integrate technology to support teaching and learning</li><li>knowledge of current best practices in information literacy and digital citizenship</li><li>demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and school staff</li><li>commitment to social-emotional learning and student well-being</li><li>ability to curate and manage a diverse and inclusive collection of learning resources</li><li>strong organizational and communication skills</li><li>demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment</li><li>ability to support a French Immersion school context; <strong>native-like fluency in French is considered a strong asset</strong></li></ul> <p><strong><u>Why West Vancouver Schools?</u></strong></p><p>West Vancouver Schools, the premier place for learning, has a long-held reputation for excellence and innovation.
