THE FACULTY OF ARTS INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR CONTACT ACADEMIC STAFF POSITIONS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HISTORY Course Name The Rise of the Ottoman Empire: The Sultan's Slaves Course Number HIST-2126-245 Course Dates: 01/07/2027-04/01/2027 Contract Start Date December 04, 2026 Contract End Date May 14, 2027 Number of Classes 12 Class Times Thursdays 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM Projected Enrolment 25 Credit Hours 3 Location of Course Online Synchronous Qualifications Post M.A. studies minimum ABD Remuneration $6,655 (inclusive of vacation pay based on 2019-2026 UWFA-CAS Agreement) Course Description: This course examines the political, social, cultural, and economic dimensions of the early Ottoman state from its inception at the beginning of the fourteenth century until the early eighteenth century.
