<p><b>SOUTH CENTRAL INTERIOR DISTANCE EDUCATION SCHOOL</b></p><p><b> 1.0 FTE Temporary part-time Grade 4 to 7 teaching position, beginning September 8, 2026 to June 10, 2027.</b></p><p><b> <i>This teaching position is based out of the Lions Peak Sports Academy in Scotia Barn, Burnaby. </i> </b></p><p><strong><u>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p><p>- Training and experience working with grade-level students.</p><p>- Knowledge and experience working with Brightspace.</p><p>- Experience adapting materials, resources, assessments and learning outcomes for student needs.</p><p>- Willingness to travel throughout the region as needed.</p><p>- Valid BC Teaching Certificate and familiarity with BC Curriculum.</p><p>- Teaching category five or higher.</p><p><strong><u>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</u></strong></p><p>- Familiarity with “Standards for K -12 Distributed Learning in British Columbia.”</p><p>- A commitment to supporting a variety of learning needs.</p><p>- Experience/training in supporting the social-emotional learning needs of students.</p><p>- Committed to establishing and maintaining positive relationships with students, staff and parents.</p><p>- Committed to working as a member of a school team in support of students.</p><p>School District 58 is working to ensure an inclusive, diverse and representative workforce.
