Position Title

</strong> Teacher (Grade 7 Humanities)</p><p><b> Regent Christian Academy Society </b> serves children and families across our campus schools, online school, and early learning programs. We focus on strong academics, whole-child development, and a Christ-centred environment where students grow in character and purpose. Our teams work hard, care deeply, and move fast to support a growing and dynamic school community.</p><p> As a central division of the Society, <strong>Regent Christian Academy (RCA)</strong> is our flagship campus-based school, serving the community through our Sullivan and Cloverdale campuses in Surrey, BC. We bring the RCAS mission to life through a vibrant, in-person learning community where students from Preschool through Grade 12 engage in rigorous academics, competitive athletics, and the fine arts. At RCA, we are dedicated to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where classroom excellence and spiritual mentorship prepare students to lead and serve with integrity.</p><p><strong> Reports to: </strong> Vice Principal</p><p><strong> Overview: </strong> The Teacher must be a dedicated, passionate, and adaptable educator who creates a nurturing, stimulating, and Christ-centered learning environment. Operating at a 0.20 FTE capacity, the initial assignment will be responsible for fostering the academic, spiritual, and social development of Grade 7 students, with a specific focus on core Humanities curriculum areas (such as English and Social Studies), while supporting students through a pivotal transitional school year.</p><p><b> Key Responsibilities & Core Competencies:</b></p><p> · <strong> Instructional Excellence: </strong> Develop and implement engaging lesson plans for Grade 7 Humanities that align with the BC Ministry of Education’s standards and a Biblical worldview. Target core Humanities subjects to drive academic growth, literacy, and critical thinking.</p><p> · <strong> Classroom Culture & Management: </strong> Create a safe, positive, and stimulating environment that encourages student participation, models servant leadership, and addresses the unique social-emotional needs of Grade 7 students.</p><p> · <strong> Assessment & Support: </strong> Evaluate student progress through diverse methods and provide individualized support to ensure every child reaches their learning goals.</p><p> · <strong> 0.20 FTE Collaboration: </strong> Work effectively and communicate seamlessly with parents, students, and colleagues. Demonstrate strong organizational skills to effectively manage a part-time schedule or job-share environment.</p><p> · <strong> Innovative Mindset: </strong> Adaptable and eager to implement creative, engaging humanities teaching strategies in a fast-paced environment.</p><p><strong> Target Start Date: </strong> SY 2026-2027</p><p><strong> Headcount: </strong> 1</p><p><strong>
