Provide direct supervision and support for children and youth in planned programs, ensuring safety and engagement in skill development. Implement programming based on individual client plans and maintain program facilities according to health and safety standards.
Candidates must have a CYW, DSW, or related diploma and at least one year of experience working with children and youth. Knowledge of ABA principles, ASD, and community resources is essential, along with an understanding of inclusion and anti-oppressive practices.

Hours of Work: Scheduled on an as-needed basis up to a maximum of 48 hours per pay period
$25.64 to $29.86 per hour

Strides Toronto Support Services (“Strides Toronto”) Strides Toronto is a multi-service agency supporting infants, children, youth and young adults from birth to age 29, and their families, primarily across east Toronto. We offer community-based, residential and treatment programs—including mental health counselling, autism services, early intervention, day treatment, education, outreach and community support—using a client-centered, evidence-informed approach. Since 2015, Strides Toronto has served as Toronto’s Lead Agency for Infant, Child and Youth Mental Health, partnering with 21 core service providers to provide system leadership, citywide planning, coordinated service delivery and program alignment. This is an existing vacancy for three (3) casual Respite Worker positions that provides school break, after school, and Saturday respite, for youth and as well as a day program for adults with an autism spectrum disorder or a developmental disability. Family engagement is an essential partnership with a focus on the development of both social and life skills to enhance quality of life working towards independence by teaching, creating opportunities for socialization through individual and group activities.
