This role supports clients in accessing postsecondary education, building employment readiness and securing meaningful employment through a case management approach. The ideal candidate is dedicated to helping individuals achieve their career goals and thrives in a collaborative, community-based environment.

Qualifications

2-year Diploma in Social Services, Human Resources, Business or related field Minimum three years of relevant work experience in social services, employment support, or business environments Demonstrated work experience with client-centered service delivery, case management and barrier identification and resolution Familiarity with employment services, postsecondary admissions, and community support systems Strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team and with community partners Proficient in data management systems, Microsoft Office 365 and digital communication tools In-person positions – must be able to reliably commute to North Bay, ON

Responsibilities

Conduct client intake and needs assessments to develop individualized Employment Action Plans (EAPs) Identify and address barriers to employment and support clients in accessing appropriate community resources Refer clients to appropriate job opportunities and provide ongoing mentoring and support throughout the job search process Case manage clients from intake to job placement and retention, offering wraparound supports as needed Guide and support clients through career planning, job readiness, and training pathways Provide employment readiness services including resume development, interview preparation, job searching, and labour market navigation Maintain comprehensive and statistically relevant records in accordance with reporting requirements Applications will be accepted by the Organizational Development and Talent Management Department through our Career Portal at https://www.canadorecollege.ca/about/careers until 12:00 p.m., on the closing date.
