Part-Time Academic (BIOA 3008: Growth, Reproduction, Lactation) - Fall 2026 Posting Number PTAP3315P Department/Unit Animal Science and Aquaculture Location Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada Job Summary & Key Responsibilities BIOA3008 Lab (GRL Lab) is a course overseen by the Chair of the Department of Animal Science and Aquaculture. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the in-person labs, including test preparation and evaluation, for the Fall 2026 term. The lab is currently scheduled on Mondays from 08.35am to 10.25am. Course description: A continuation of BIOA 2006, emphasizing physiological systems relevant to animal production. Major topics include growth and development as it applies to meat and brood animal production, and the physiology and management of reproduction and lactation in domestic species. FORMAT: Lecture Lab Qualifications/Requirements of Position Minimum requirement of an MSc. in the area of expertise, with a minimum of two years’ experience. Demonstrated teaching experience required in a post-secondary level environment, with experience in livestock physiology. Previous experience in supervising students would be an asset. Salary Range/Pay Rate Per CUPE Collective Agreement
