Salary Range

$71,846.00 – $115,129.00 per annum. Placement on the faculty salary scale is based on education, professional certification and experience and will be in accordance with the Collective Agreement. The minimum qualifications for this position are:
  • a current License as an Optician/Contact Lens Fitter in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia with certification in Automated Refraction;
  • experience teaching in clinical, classroom and/or laboratory settings in an Opticianry related program or equivalent;
  • at least five years of broad and current clinical experience that includes a sound foundation in Opticianry;
  • curriculum development/maintenance experience/expertise;
  • effective interpersonal skills, initiative and creativity;
  • self-directedness, strong work ethic and excellent writing ability;
  • ability to collaborate and contribute effectively to team activities; and

Additional Information
