center;"><strong>LIMITED TERM APPOINTMENT IN ACCOUNTING</strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE</strong></p> <p style="text-align: center;"><strong>GERALD SCHWARTZ SCHOOL OF BUSINESS</strong></p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p>The <strong>Department of Accounting and Finance</strong> in the <strong>Gerald Schwartz School of Business</strong> invites applications for a limited term appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the area of Accounting to begin August 17, 2026 for an appointment term ending May 14, 2027.</p> <p>This position is subject to final budgetary approval.</p> <p>The Gerald Schwartz School of Business houses three departments and offers a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with several degree streams, a thesis-based honours program, a co-op option, and multiple international exchange opportunities. The Gerald Schwartz School is a signatory to PRME and the accounting program is accredited by the CPA Atlantic School of Business. St. Francis Xavier University is one of Canada’s leading primarily undergraduate universities, nestled in the small Nova Scotia town of Antigonish within the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq People. Our historic campus is home to a population of around 4,000 students.</p> <p>The successful candidate must have a CPA designation and an interest in teaching at a post secondary level. The primary teaching responsibilities of the successful candidate will be to deliver in-person undergraduate courses in Introductory Managerial Accounting (BSAD 223) and in either Personal Taxation (BSAD 450) or Advanced Financial Accounting (BSAD 426). Interest in pursuing a PhD in Accounting would be an asset.</p> <p>Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
