  • <p>The Department of Celtic Studies at St.
  • Francis Xavier University invites applications for the position of Part-time Academic Instructor to teach CELT 131 &amp; 132: Celtic Civilizations I &amp; II (3 credits each) and potentially up to two more 3-credit courses from our course offerings (see course descriptions under Dept of Celtic Studies in the <a href="https://www.stfx.ca/sites/default/files/documents/2026-2027%20Academic%20Calendar_June2.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener">StFX Academic Calendar</a>, pp.
  • 104-06), to be determined depending on qualifications of applicants.
  • Courses will be taught over the fall term (September to December) and winter term (January to April) in the 2026-27 academic year, with classes beginning on the 2nd of September.
  • Ideally courses will be taught in person, but we are willing to entertain proposals for online courses.</p> <p>Ideal candidates should possess, at minimum, a Master&rsquo;s degree in Celtic Studies or related field.
  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess a PhD in Celtic Studies and to individuals who have strong teaching and communication skills and/or who have prior experience in university-level teaching.
