  • <p>The <strong>Sociology Department</strong> at <strong>St.
  • Francis Xavier University</strong> invites applications for a Part Time Academic Instructor to teach the following course, in person, during the 2026 - 2027 academic year:</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; SOCI 205/AQUA 202: The Oceans&rsquo; Commons and Society (3 credits | Jan. &ndash; April 2027).</strong></p> <p>**this position is subject to final budgetary approval</p> <p>We seek candidates with prior experience teaching this course. &nbsp;Qualified applicants will have an advanced degree in a field or program related to the course - a PhD or ABD is preferred - and previous teaching experience.
  • Preference will be given to individuals who have strong teaching and communication skills.
