The Youth Justice Support Worker is responsible for managing a caseload of youth, providing supportive counseling, and facilitating life skills workshops. They must also coordinate services, maintain community partnerships, and ensure accurate reporting of program outcomes.
Candidates must hold a university degree in Human Services or a related field and possess at least two years of experience working with youth. A valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and the ability to pass a vulnerable sector police check are mandatory.

The Youth Justice Support Worker will be responsible for positive relationship building, effective caseload management, supportive counselling, and facilitation of educational and life skills workshops to program participants. YMCA YOU-Turn is available to youth from any socio-economic and cultural background who are reintegrating out of detention, institution, are on probation, have re-offended or have relocated for personal safety. The program supports youth from Edmonton and rural communities through a client-centered approach of meeting youth where they are at, identifying, and building on their protective factors and natural supports.
The Youth Justice Support Worker is responsible for the effective planning, implementation, and evaluation of program services. The Youth Justice Support Worker carries out their duties in a professional manner and in accordance with all YMCA policies and procedures, standards of practice, health and safety standards, child protection standards and contractual, legal, and regulatory requirements.
This position requires a regular use of a vehicle. You must be able to work a flexible schedule including evening and possible weekends to meet the needs of the youth we work with. This is a full time contract position till October 2, 2026, with the possibility of extension.
