The autism support assistant is responsible for ensuring that daily support provided to adults with autism meets their expectations to enhance their quality of life, aligning with agency values and goals. Responsibilities include maximizing health and safety, implementing support plans, and coaching in areas like social skills, vocation, and daily living activities.
Requirements summary
Candidates must have either a developmental service worker diploma, human services diploma/Degree, or a personal support worker certificate, or alternatively, a high school diploma plus one year of related experience, preferably supporting individuals with autism. A valid driver's license (Minimum g2) and access to a reliable vehicle are mandatory requirements.
