Core responsibilities
- Assist with implementation of supports to foster social/Emotional learning.
- Work with students individually or in groups during and outside school hours.
- Collaborate with school-Based team under supervision.
- Intervene and diffuse potentially dangerous situations.
- Support development of life skills
Requirements summary
- Successful completion of grade 12 and child/Youth care worker diploma or equivalent.
- Six months of practical experience working with at-Risk students.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Conflict resolution and crisis intervention training.
- Knowledge of social service agencies and community resources.
- Valid bc driver’s license
