Core responsibilities

  • Share indigenous knowledge, teachings, and perspectives through programming, interpretation, and events.
  • Build relationships with indigenous communities and partners.
  • Support staff and visitors in understanding indigenous histories and realities.
  • Create opportunities for indigenous voices to be heard and celebrated

Requirements summary

  • Lived experience as part of treaty 7 indigenous cultures.
  • Secondary school education or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of first nations history, culture, language, and traditional activities.
  • Experience in customer service, museum education, or interpretation (Preferred).
  • Strong public speaking and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Physically capable of handling artifacts and working outdoors in weather extremes
