Core responsibilities

  • Oversee and lead the district's feeding futures program.
  • Coordinate food procurement, staffing, training, and infrastructure.
  • Manage budgets and reporting for education authorities.
  • Partner with organizations to build food security.
  • Develop and support nutrition and food literacy education.
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive health promoting district plan.
  • Oversee school-Based health and wellbeing programs.
  • Coordinate professional development for educators.
  • Partner with community organizations.
  • Lead services supporting diversity, equity, inclusion, and racial equity.
  • Support anti-Racism framework implementation.
  • Strengthen sogi practices and education.
  • Develop and implement safe schools strategy.
  • Lead prevention, intervention, and response strategies.
  • Coordinate emergency response partnerships

Requirements summary

  • Ministry of education and child care teacher regulation branch certification.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of five years recent experience as a school principal.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Leadership skills supporting team and pedagogy.
  • Experience across k-12 preferred
