The coordinator is responsible for managing all activities related to the guardians of canadian species hub at the toronto zoo, engaging internal and external partners at various levels for program integration and conservation impact delivery. This role involves establishing a framework to align conservation work for canadian species, driving measurable, collaborative outcomes, and supporting the implementation of the toronto zoo strategic plan.
Candidates must possess a post-Graduate degree in biological sciences or equivalent experience, demonstrating expertise in zoology or field conservation biology, along with experience in both ex situ and in situ research. Essential skills include strong interpersonal and communication abilities, knowledge of aza standards, and the capacity to publish results and present formally to diverse audiences.
