The primary role is to instruct freestyle camp participants, providing a fun, welcoming, and safe environment to develop new freestyle skills and social skills through daily dryland freestyle instruction and participation in other camp activities. Instructors must adhere to safety policies, tailor lessons to skill levels, maintain accurate records, and contribute positively to the camp environment.

Requirements summary

Candidates must be available for mandatory training sessions and work monday through friday during the summer camp season, covering at least seven of the nine weeks. Required qualifications include freestyle fundamentals and freestyle air 1 certifications, a current criminal record check with a vulnerable sector search, and current standard (Intermediate) first aid and cpr level c certification.
