The educational assistant will provide direct supervision, academic support, and compassionate care to students with diverse needs, implementing strategies to promote behavioral and life skills as outlined in individualized education plans. Responsibilities also include collaborating with teachers, monitoring student progress, managing behavioral situations, administering medication when necessary, and completing required documentation.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma, and while an educational assistant or youth care worker certificate/Diploma is an asset, up to one year of relevant experience working with individuals facing behavioral or developmental challenges is required. A valid class 5 novice 2 or higher driver's license is also mandatory for this role.
