This role involves assisting the director in leading and guiding camp teams, programs, and services, including outdoor education and day camp programs, while overseeing operations, standards, and program delivery for various camp services. The coordinator will also provide leadership in developing high-Quality educational programming, managing staff, overseeing budget aspects, and ensuring adherence to ymca policies and standards.
Candidates must possess a minimum of three years of combined post-Secondary education in a relevant field like education or outdoor recreation, along with experience in camps, youth recreation, or outdoor education. Essential qualifications include standard first aid and cpr-C, with a willingness or possession of a national lifeguard certification or class 2 driver’s license.
