Peer Support Centre Volunteer

Volunteers provide non-Judgemental, one-On-One support to students and the campus community using a supportive listening model, focusing on empowering clients rather than offering advice. They are also expected to contribute to internal community or outreach events.

No prior supportive listening experience is required, but applicants must possess attributes like compassion, humbleness, and non-Judgement, along with enthusiasm for mental health advocacy. Successful candidates must commit to over 70 hours of mandatory summer training, including specific in-Person dates, and subsequently commit to three hours of shift time per week.
