Regional Department Head, Family Practice

The regional department head provides strategic, clinical, and academic leadership for the family practice department across vch and phc, being accountable for medical care quality, human resource planning, and strategic alignment across all regional sites. Key duties include overseeing departmental operations, developing strategic plans, ensuring compliance with professional standards, and leading local departmental leadership.

Candidates must possess a medical degree with active licensure with the college of physicians and surgeons of b.c. And certification in the canadian college of family practitioners (Ccfp) or equivalent. A minimum of five years of successful clinical practice experience and demonstrated medical leadership experience within a hospital setting are required.
