The music therapist will develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate music therapy programs while maintaining an active clinical caseload including assessment, treatment, documentation, and education. Responsibilities also include participating in interdisciplinary team meetings, research, providing consultations, and supervising practicum students and interns.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree in music therapy and be eligible for full, accredited membership in the canadian association for music therapy, along with one year of recent, related experience. Essential abilities include effective communication, supervision skills, organization, and demonstrated competence in promoting indigenous cultural safety and providing culturally safe care.
