Position Details

  • This positionwill work with both English and French-speaking clients. The successful candidate will bebilingualin both English and French.
  • This contract runs from the date of hire until March 31, 2026, on a20-hourwork week.
  • The Autism Services Therapist provides individual, and group applied behaviour analysis-based programs for assigned children and youth with autism to develop skills in key areas and address behaviours that interfere with functioning in collaboration with families and inter-professional team members.
  • Support is also provided to children, youth, and their families to promote generalization and maintenance of skills across settings.

Qualifications

  • Behavioural Science Advanced Diploma Program and/or Autism and Behavioural Science Graduate Certificate or HonoursBachelor Degree in Psychologyor other related discipline (e.g. Behavioural Psychology, Behavioural Science), preferred, or Child and Youth Worker Diploma withdemonstratedknowledge of autism, child development, and Applied Behaviour Analysis.
  • Experience providing Applied Behaviour Analysis based programs, an asset.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of autism and child development and the ability to implement Applied Behaviour Analysis based programs.
  • Ability tocomply withMaltby Centre driving policy and drive clients within the Kingston area.
  • Strong group facilitation skills with the ability to assess group dynamics and respond flexibly to various learning styles.
  • Billingual in English and French.
