The community disability worker is responsible for implementing individual service plans and providing direct care to individuals with developmental and physical disabilities. They promote meaningful participation in the community and assist individuals in achieving personal goals.
Candidates are preferred to have post-Secondary education in community rehabilitation and disabilities studies, along with effective communication and time management skills. A positive attitude and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team are essential.
