  • <p> </p> <p> About Qualicum School District</p><p> </p><p> We are centrally situated on East Vancouver Island, covering Nanoose Bay to Bowser and spanning from Errington across the Strait of Georgia to Lasqueti Island. We serve a student population of approximately 4700 students. Qualicum School District consists of eight elementary schools (Grades K-7), two secondary schools (Grades 8-12), an alternate school (PASS/Woodwinds) and a Distributed Learning program to support home-learning families called the Collaborative Education Alternative Program (CEAP). False Bay School on Lasqueti Island is entirely off-grid with an immense solar project recently completed. School District 69 (Qualicum) also partners with many community organizations through various school programs. The area’s natural beauty, never-ending beaches, mild climate, and small-town charm make it a popular tourist destination and a great opportunity to have a career in paradise. </p><p> </p> <p><strong>Teachers Teaching on Call (TTOC)</strong><br></br> <br></br> The Qualicum School District is seeking highly skilled and dynamic educators to join our Teachers Teaching on Call pool on Lasqueti Island. Our TTOCs enjoy working in a vibrant and growing district where employment opportunities for teachers are expected to continue into the future. <br></br> <br></br> We invite applications from generalists and specialists (French Immersion, Technical Education, Science & Mathematics and Learning Assistance) who can demonstrate currency of practice, excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic, and a proven knowledge of the BC curriculum.</p> <p><strong>Preference will be given to candidates who have the ability to teach in a wide variety of settings. </strong></p> <p>Applications are accepted through the Make a Future website and should include: <br></br> <strong><br></br>

  • Latest teaching report (or final practicum) <br></br>
  • Proof of BC Teachers Regulation Branch certification and TQS certification <br></br>
