<p><strong>Position Description</strong></p> <p>A temporary part time (0.7) Learning Assistance Teacher is required by School District No.
60 (Peace River North) effective September 1, 2026 until the return of the incumbent but not beyond June 30, 2027.
The assignment will be at Alwin Holland Elementary School.</p> <p>Alwin Holland has a student population of over 200 students and approximately 30% of those are Indigenous.
Our school is an inner city school and our school population is characterized by considerable diversity.
See <a></a>for more information. </p> <p><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p><ul> <li>Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)</li> <li>Qualifications and demonstrated ability to teach the identified subjects at the elementary years level</li> <li>Experience with universal design and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of students</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal, communications, collaboration and organization skills</li> <li>Experience/training/knowledge of Social Emotional Learning.
