The Role NWP's Continuing Education department is seeking a Curriculum Developer to support the design and development of a new training program for a special project. Working under the direction of the Continuing Education department and in consultation with subject matter experts (SMEs) and industry representatives, the Curriculum Developer will help translate program design into practical, teachable course materials. This role supports the development of high-quality, learner-centred curriculum using established institutional contract with OHS representatives.

  • Minimum diploma in adult education, occupational health and safety (OHS), instructional design, or a related field; equivalent combined education and experience will be considered
  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development (required)
  • Experience with occupational health and safety (OHS), including hazard identification and regulatory/compliance content
  • Industry knowledge or experience in one or more of the following sectors is an asset: Forestry, lumber, logging, and wood products Oil and gas and related services Manufacturing and fabrication Agriculture Skills & Experience
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory
  • Ability to translate technical and industry-specific knowledge into accessible, teachable content
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with SMEs and industry advisors

Requirements

Minimum diploma in adult education, occupational health and safety (OHS), instructional design, or a related field (equivalent combined education and experience considered).
