Post End Date: July 13, 2026 at 11:59 PM This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) Integrating Assessment and Curriculum – Junior/Intermediate) Compensation Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds.
Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $23.30 per hour. (Rate effective September 1, 2026) Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $36.67 per hour. (Rate effective September 1, 2026) In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.
Duties The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement.
These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required.
Qualifications 1.
Honours BA or Honours BSc 2.
B.ed (P/J, j/I, i/S) 3.
Previous successful classroom teaching experience (K-12 classroom setting) 4.
Background in classroom assessment and curriculum design 5.
Successfully completed EDUC 4P17, EDUC 4P18 or EDUC 4P19 Applications Please include a cover letter and a current resume.
