Requirements summary

Bachelor of Education.
Valid BC teaching certificate and current membership with the Ministry of Education and Childcare.
Fluency in French (position requires an individual who is fluent in French).
Ability to assist students as needed across a variety of curriculum areas at junior grade levels.
Demonstrated experience with inclusive instruction and addressing diverse learning needs.
Understanding and use of a trauma-informed approach.
Experience with competency-based assessment strategies.
Experience differentiating instruction.
Experience integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices.
Commitment to district and education system plans (BC Education Plan, Board of Education Strategic Plan, TRC Calls to Action).

Date: September 1, 2026 Salary: $64,341.00 - $121,722.00 + ($3500.00 provincial recruitment and retention allowance) Assignment: 1.0 Continuing Position <ul><li>MIDDLE YEARS TEACHER</li></ul>(Teachers in the Middle Years Program will be expected to teach across all curriculum areas but may be assigned to teach in areas of specific curriculum strengths or interests).
