  • Post End Date: July 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) Title of Course CANA 2P92 Canada’s Institutions and Icons Compensation Effective September 1, 2026 - $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) Effective September 1, 2026 - $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally) Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
  • Duties Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.
  • These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).
  • Qualifications 1.
  • PhD or ABD status in a Doctoral program in one of the following fields: Canadian Studies, History (with a specialty in Canadian History), or Literature (with a specialty in Canadian Literature).
  • 2.
  • Candidates will be selected based on successful academic teaching experience and teaching competence.
  • 3.
  • Knowledge of Canadian Studies relevant to the applicable course.
  • 4.
  • Demonstrated experience with online instruction and seminar leading.
  • 5.
  • In the absence of applicants who meet the qualifications above, candidates with a Master's degree with evidence of strong background in Canadian Studies, may also be deemed suitable.
