Plan and lead age-appropriate recreational activities, crafts, and games for children. Ensure a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment while collaborating with staff to deliver high-quality programming.
Candidates should be creative and patient individuals who enjoy working with youth and possess strong communication skills. Experience in educational or recreational settings and First Aid/CPR certification are preferred assets.
We are looking for individuals who: Enjoy working with children and youth. Are creative, energetic, and patient. Have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Can take initiative and work both independently and as part of a team. Are organized and able to prepare materials and activities in advance. Have experience working with children in educational, recreational, community, or volunteer settings (preferred but not required). Demonstrate a commitment to creating inclusive and respectful environments. Preferred Assets Experience facilitating crafts, games, recreational activities, or youth programming. First Aid and CPR certification. Knowledge of child development or experience supporting children with diverse needs. Ability to speak additional languages. Time Commitment Flexible scheduling based on program needs and volunteer availability. Minimum commitment of 3–6 months preferred. Volunteers may be asked to attend orientation and training sessions. Screening Requirements Successful candidates may be required to: Complete a Volunteer Application Form. Participate in an interview. Provide references.
