Post End Date: June 29, 2026 at 11:59 PM This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) Title of Course ENGL 2P69 American Prose from 1945 LEC Wed 1600-1800 + SEM Wed 1500-1600/Mon 1200-1300/Wed 1200-1300 Sep 2026 - Dec 2026 Compensation Effective September 1, 2026 - $7,887.59 per half course (195 hours nominally) Effective September 1, 2026 - $15,775.20 per full course (390 hours nominally) Please note: Instructors who are employed in a 2-hour/week lecture, or the equivalent of a 2-hour/week lecture, are responsible for the first hour of seminar/lab in each course.
Duties Duties and responsibilities will be in accordance with Article 22.01 of the Collective Agreement.
These include scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (preparation of lectures, student consultation, marking and grading and course administration, including grade appeals and cases of academic dishonesty).
Qualifications 1.
A PhD complete or near complete in English Literature (defense date set).
2.
Demonstrated scholarly competency and currency in contemporary American literature.
3.
Evidence of successful teaching in contemporary American literature in a post-secondary setting.
