Position Summary

This course advocates a strength-based approach to supporting students experiencing mental health issues in today’s classrooms. Teacher Candidates will learn practical strategies for creating an inclusive classroom environment that nurtures the mental health well-being of all students, including how to engage with professionals within a multidisciplinary model to establish a circle of support. Qualifications – Required Academic Degree: Master’s degree in Education; Bachelor of Education and/or K–10 Teaching Certification; Teaching in Ontario schools (K-6 experience for PJ sections, grades 4-10 for JI sections); leadership/scholarship in the area of School Mental Health Qualifications – Required Discipline: Education Qualifications – Required Areas of Specialization: Mental Health Qualifications – Required Professional Designation: Qualifications – Other Doctoral degree in Education; post-secondary teaching experience in teacher education Salary: $5,106.20 Application Deadline: June 23, 2026 Submit with Application: Required for All Applicants
