The Chemistry Department at Thompson Rivers University (TRU) invites applications for up to two 4-month sessional positions starting September 1, 2026. In this lab-oriented position, candidates will create and maintain a positive and engaging learning environment while teaching labs in general and/or organic chemistry. Preference will be given to candidates with a documented track record of a successful, reflective laboratory teaching practice at the post-secondary level. Successful candidates may teach the following: CHEM 1500 general chemistry labs CHEM 2120 organic chemistry labs Our department is a collection of passionate chemistry educators interested in inspiring the next generation of chemists. The department offers BSc Majors in Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry and Chemical Biology, as well as service courses to Engineering (ENG) and other departments.
