Create an outline for the lab day, submit packing list(s) to the lab, prepare the room and supplies prior to the start time and cleanup afterwards, teach and demonstrate related skills, provide scenarios and answer student’s questions, complete performance skill testing as required, submit any required paperwork to Continuing Education. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND EXPERIENCE Description Required Qualifications Dentist or Dental Assistant formally trained in dental implants Graduate of an accredited Level II Dental Assisting Program.
• Current License to practice Dental Assisting in Saskatchewan.
• Min. 2 years recent and relevant (2 years within the last 5 years) dental assisting experience in a dental office.
• Comprehensive knowledge of current dental implant prosthetics principles and techniques.
• Recent experience in dental implant prosthetics and/or a recent experience of assisting with dental implant in a clinical environment.
• Ability to apply basic principles and practices of adult education to assist learners with the required knowledge and skills.
• Preference will be given to current Saskatchewan Polytechnic faculty.
