Job description

Office of the Registrar CUPE, Term, Full-time (May 2026 to October 2026) Internal applicants from CUPE Local 3799 will be given priority consideration. Reporting to the Assistant Registrar with functional supervision by the Enrolment Services Coordinator, the Enrolment Services Representative (ESR) is responsible for providing front-line customer service and administrative or resource support within, and to, the Office of the Registrar.

Responsibilities

Specific duties will include a broad range of administrative, clerical, and service functions that support the current and evolving needs of students and the office, and contribute to the continual improvement of efficiencies. Service and support in the following areas will include, but are not limited to: Providing professional and exceptional customer service in the Office of the Registrar (via front counter, telephone, email, and other communication channels); Assisting with recruitment activities, applications, admissions, articulation, financial aid & awards, and graduation; Processing registrations, transcript requests, confirmation of enrolment, and mail; Maintaining websites, assisting with travel bookings, and campus tours; Maintaining and organizing file room and office supplies, which may require occasional lifting; Assisting with special projects and event planning; Providing coverage for colleagues when required; and Cleaning up data, maintaining records, and system testing.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will possess the following: A one-year certificate or diploma in business administration or a related field; and Two or more years related work experience in a post-secondary environment within a registrar’s office or a student services setting. An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Relevant experience should demonstrate: Strong background applying administrative procedures and practices; Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Working knowledge and experience utilizing reporting tools and relational databases (i.e. Banner); Working knowledge of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA); Ability to work with discretion and confidentiality; Customer service orientation; Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to prioritize workload and work independently in a busy and challenging environment with multiple and changing deadlines; and Ability to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with staff, faculty members, and students. Salary This position has been classified as Grade 6. The annual salary range for this position is $58,858.80 to $61,279.40 and the normal starting salary will be $58,858.80.
